




Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah celebrates his personal best after completing 21 km in the region’s first international marathon, calling it a moment of joy and reflection on health.
The resolution, drafted by the National Conference, comes after the party won 42 seats in the recent assembly elections.

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, NCP MP Supriya Sule, and CPI’s D Raja, are expected to attend the ceremony.
This comes a day after the Centre revoked President's rule in Jammu and Kashmir.
During his meeting with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Abdullah presented the letters of support from the coalition partners, hours after Congress extended its support to the NC vice president
The four MLAs that who have extended their support to the party are Pyare Lal Sharma, Satish Sharma, Choudhary Mohammed Akram, and Rameshwar Singh - who won the Inderwal, Chhamb, Surankote, and Bani seats respectively
A meeting of the pre-poll alliance members is scheduled for Friday to advance the process of forming the new government
The NC leader aid his party will not side-step its political agenda.
"After the formation of the government, I hope in the first cabinet meeting, the resolution will be passed and presented to the Prime Minister, calling for the restoration of statehood," Abdullah told reporters.
"I have said this many times before the elections that hoping for the restoration of Article 370 from the people who snatched it will be foolish,” he said.

Omar Abdullah faces a pivotal election in Ganderbal as he seeks to reclaim a key constituency tied to his family's legacy. He is up against PDP's Bashir Mir and independent candidates. Despite strong support from his family and the NC, the race remains tight and unpredictable.
As per most exit polls, the NC-Congress alliance is shown to just cross the halfway mark in the 90-member house.

Omar Abdullah pointed out that Shah deliberately left out several parties, including the Apni Party, People’s Conference, and Engineer Rashid’s Awami Ittehad Party, suggesting that these omissions indicate a tacit alliance or favorable stance towards these groups.
Omar Abdullah had recently criticized the execution of Guru, a convict in the 2001 Parliament attack case, saying, "I don’t believe that any purpose was served by executing him. I don't.”
However, the NC leader said, the voters will not allow that to happen and "when the results will be declared, neither the BJP nor its ploys will be successful".
