




Reliance ADAG Chairman Anil Ambani has been allowed exemption from personally appearing as a prosecution witness in the trial court till the second week of August.
In a statement given to CBI on February 16, 2011, Ambani has said he "does not" admit that Swan Telecom Pvt Ltd, facing trial in the case along with its promoters, was a Reliance ADA Group company and that he has lost his "prestige" in the entire saga.
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) official Suresh Kumar Palsania, who meticulously investigated the 2G spectrum scam, died on Wednesday night due to a blood disorder. 44-year-old Palsania, who was termed as one of the bright officers of the agency, died at a private hospital in South Delhi due to a terminal illness.
Raja arrives to a rousing reception
A Raja, the prime accused in 2G spectrum scam, on Wednesday came to Parliament a day after being released from Tihar jail where he was lodged after his arrest in the case on February 1 last year.
On 2 February 2012, the Supreme Court of India issued its judgment on one of the important cases on this matter. It declared that all 122 licenses issued in 2008 were illegal and ordered them quashed within four months.

Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy has submitted copies of what he calls documentary evidence on Home Minister P Chidambaram's involvement in the 2G spectrum scam before a Special Judge in Delhi. The case has now been adjourned to Januray 21.

Achary in his testimony said that Sanjay Chandra, Shahid Balwa and Vinod Goenka used to meet a Raja when he was environment minister in relation to environmental clearance required for big real estate projects in which these companies were involved.
