British YouTuber Lord Miles has just turned a common tech mishap into a full-blown international adventure. A year ago, he lost his AirPods while staying at a hotel in Dubai. Most people would have written them off and bought a new pair, but not Miles. Instead, he did what any dedicated content creator would do , he launched a mission to track them down.
Thanks to Apple's "Find My" feature, Miles discovered that his AirPods had somehow ended up in Jhelum, Pakistan. Yes, you read that right, his missing earphones traveled across borders and were now pinging from a location near a place charmingly called "2nd Wife Restaurant" on Defence Road.
On May 29, he posted on X (formerly Twitter), “My AirPod Pros have been lost for a year in Pakistan, and guess who's going to go there next week and get his property back!” His post included a screenshot showing that the AirPods had recently been used — just 31 minutes before he checked.
And that’s not all. Miles says he’s planning to bring in the local police, track down the culprit, and document the whole thing on video. “I'm going to get a police officer and storm the area, get back my AirPods and film it all. Don't like thieves,” he declared.
Naturally, the internet had opinions. While some followers cheered him on, others questioned the logic of flying halfway across the world to retrieve a used pair of AirPods. “Wouldn’t it be cheaper to just buy new ones?” one person asked. Another joked, “My dude, you're not gonna wanna put those in your ears ever again.”
Then came the realists. “Imagine the earwax,” someone tweeted. “It's not worth it.”
But Lord Miles doesn’t seem fazed. Whether he gets the AirPods back or not, he’s clearly already won the internet’s attention. And honestly, who doesn’t love a tech mystery that turns into a globe-trotting YouTube adventure? Stay tuned — this could be the wildest AirPods recovery story ever.
