Wipro integrates Google Cloud’s Gen AI tools, including Gemini models for employees

Wipro said its clients have already seen improvements in productivity, accuracy, and customer experience using Gemini’s multimodal capabilities

Information technology firm Wipro on August 12 announced the expansion of its partnership with Google, integrating its generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) tools, including Gemini models for its workforce.

This partnership is aimed at enhancing developer productivity, accelerating cloud migrations, and delivering Gen AI solutions.

"As part of this partnership and Wipro’s ai360 initiative, Wipro FullStride Cloud Studio is integrating Gemini’s advanced reasoning and analysis capabilities into its core business platforms and innovation hubs," the company said in an exchange filing.

Wipro will utilise Google's capabilities to build new industry solutions through Gemini models, developing joint go-to-market programs, integrating Gemini Code Assist into the Bengaluru-based company's internal tooling to accelerate application development for customers, and rapid prototyping its own internal applications.

"To rapidly scale its Gen AI projects, Wipro is training its associates on Google Cloud’s AI

technologies including Gemini to better help global enterprise customers scope, deploy, and

manage AI projects that solve their unique business objectives," the company said.

Wipro estimates productivity improvements of up to 30 percent by using Gen AI-powered solutions in digital transformation projects, such as application migrations and modernisation.

Google’s Gemini models offer a context window of up to 1 million tokens for enterprise customers, advanced features, and seamless integrations for customer operations. Wipro said its clients have already seen improvements in productivity, accuracy, and customer experience using Gemini’s multimodal capabilities.
