Vivo X300 series

Vivo is gearing up for a big afternoon. The company will officially unveil the Vivo X300 and X300 Pro in India today at 12PM, and there’s already plenty of buzz around what these two flagships might bring. Both phones were launched in China earlier, and ever since then, the chatter has only grown louder — partly because Vivo seems more confident than ever about entering the premium league. The leaks around pricing have added even more curiosity. If the numbers turn out to be accurate, the X300 series could arrive at a higher price point than many users were expecting, immediately putting pressure on Vivo to justify the jump through design, cameras and overall performance.

Vivo has also teased a lot of camera-centric features, which isn’t surprising given that the X-series has always leaned heavily on imaging. But this time, the spotlight is even brighter, especially with the brand introducing an interesting add-on — the Telephoto Extender Kit — which has already caught the attention of photography lovers. All eyes are now on the launch, where Vivo will finally reveal the India-specific pricing, variants and any extras it has saved for the big moment.

How to watch the Vivo X300 launch live

If you want to tune in, the launch event will be streamed live on Vivo’s official YouTube channel at 12PM. You can simply head to the channel and watch the reveal as it happens. India Today Tech will also be covering all updates in real time, so you can follow along there if you prefer quick highlights and analysis instead of watching the full stream.

What to expect from the Vivo X300 Pro

The X300 Pro is the more ambitious of the two and is expected to carry the same hardware as the Chinese version. That includes a 6.78-inch 1.5K BOE Q10+ LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, along with circular polarisation 2.0 for better outdoor visibility. Powering it is MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage in global markets, though India is likely to get the 16GB + 512GB configuration.

The cameras are the highlight here. The Pro model uses a 50MP Sony LYT-828 main camera with OIS, a 50MP JN1 ultrawide sensor and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens — all backed by Vivo’s V3+ and Vs1 imaging chips and Zeiss tuning. There’s also support for the 2.35x Zeiss teleconverter for even more optical reach. On the front, the phone carries a 50MP JN1 selfie camera.

A large 6,510mAh battery powers the device, with 90W wired and 40W wireless charging. Other features you can expect include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, dual speakers, an Action Button, and an IP68 rating. The phone weighs 226g, making it a typical ultra-flagship.

What to expect from the Vivo X300

The regular X300 keeps the same Dimensity 9500 chipset but comes in a more compact form. It has a smaller 6.31-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED display and a 6,040mAh battery. At 190g, it is considerably lighter and might appeal to users who want a premium phone without the bulk.

The camera system here is different from the Pro. The X300 uses a 200MP Samsung HPB primary camera with OIS, paired with a 50MP ultrawide and a 50MP LYT-602 periscope telephoto lens. It supports the Zeiss teleconverter and uses the V3+ imaging chip for processing. The selfie camera remains the same 50MP JN1 sensor.

Overall, both phones aim to push Vivo deeper into the flagship space — and today’s launch will show how well they fit into India’s premium market.
