After launching the V40 series in India last year, Chinese smartphone giant Vivo is gearing up to launch the first smartphone in the upcoming Vivo V50 series. The V50 has also recently been spotted on several certification sites. As per previous reports, the phone could be a rebranded version of the Vivo S20, which was introduced in China in November last year.
Now, Vivo is still tight-lipped about this upcoming mid-range smartphone but rumours and leaks have given us a fair idea of the Vivo V50. Some leaks now suggest its expected performance boosts, design changes, better display quality, and a preliminary launch date. We now take a look at all of these details.
Vivo V50: Expected launch date, design
According to X tipster Yogesh Brar, the Vivo V50 will launch in India in the third week of February, which means it could be between February 17 and February 23. Moreover, another tipster, Abhishek Yadav, expects that the smartphone will come in four colour options: Blue, Rose, Red, and Grey.
Moreover, the smartphone is expected to be the "slimmest phone in the segment" with a 6,000mAh battery. In the leaked image by Brar, the V50 was reportedly seen in a Rose Red colour shade, which is similar to that of the Chinese variant of the Vivo S20. Further, it could come with two camera sensors and a ring-like LED flash unit appearing within the vertically aligned rear camera module with a pill design in the top left corner of the panel.
Vivo V50: Expected specifications, price
Many leaks and rumours suggest that the Vivo V50 can feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate support. In terms of optics, it might have two 50MP sensors on the back and a 50MP selfie shooter. Further, the Vivo V50 might be packed with a 6000mAh battery with 90W charging support.
The Vivo V50 should be placed in a similar range as the Vivo V40, which was unveiled for Rs 34,999.
