Vivo will reportedly launch two more flagships, the Vivo X200 Ultra as well as the Vivo X200 mini in India. However, a new update suggests that Vivo India is pushing for its release in the Indian market as well.
While nothing has been confirmed yet, Vivo India is reportedly trying to convince its headquarters in China that launching the X200 Ultra in India would be a smart move. The reason? The strong performance of the X200 Pro in the Indian market.
During the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona earlier this month, Vivo executives allegedly told partners that the X200 Pro had sold out in India. The company even had to request more units from its factories to meet demand. The success of another premium model, the X Fold3 Pro, has also boosted Vivo's confidence in competing in the high-end smartphone segment.
Last year, Vivo’s X100 Ultra did not make it to India despite being showcased at a company event. However, things could be different this time. Vivo is currently the top smartphone brand in India, and it is likely keen on maintaining its lead. With rivals like Xiaomi bringing their latest 15 and 15 Ultra to India, Vivo may not want to miss out on the competition in the premium smartphone category.
