After several tests in the last month, Meta is now allowing Threads users to add multiple links to their bios. This allows Threads users to add up to five links to their account bios and provides performance insight to creators, revealing how many people have visited links shared in posts and profiles. It aligns Threads with Instagram’s link-sharing capabilities and gives creators more flexibility to promote their other social media platforms.

Multiple links in bios, track clicks

Through a press release, Meta announced that Threads users will be able to add up to five links to their bios. Up until now, users were only allowed to add a single link to their bio field. However, with this addition, Threads users or creators can add up to five links directly on their profiles, which will make it easier for followers to see multiple links of a creator, such as newsletters, podcasts, articles, and or other social media platform links.

The same functionality was added by Instagram a couple of years ago. Meanwhile, Meta is also launching a weekly recap feature within Insights to give users a summary of how their links have performed week after week. This will allow Threads creators to view how many people have visited the links in their profile or links shared in their posts.

According to Meta, these insight recaps will come with personalized tips designed to help creators discover new ways to build and interact with their communities. It will soon be available on the platform, and with these updates, Threads continues to evolve as a creator-friendly platform within the Meta ecosystem.
