One of the biggest concerns with wireless earbuds is whether they’ll stay put. Many users worry about them slipping out during a commute, a workout, or even while just walking around. Sony’s new LinkBuds Fit earbuds aim to fix that problem with a design focused on comfort and a secure fit without compromising on sound or smart features.
Price and availability
The LinkBuds Fit is priced at Rs. 18,990. As part of a launch offer, buyers will also get a free SRS-XB100 portable speaker worth Rs. 5,990. The offer begins on April 7, 2025 and will be available for a limited time. The earbuds come in Black, White, and Green colours.
Key features and specifications
Sony has designed the LinkBuds Fit keeping comfort in mind. It has introduced new Air Fitting Supporters and soft ear tips designed using data from real ear shapes. The earbuds are light—just 4.9 grams each—and made to stay secure without putting pressure on the ears.
These earbuds are also packed with tech. They use the same Integrated Processor V2 found in Sony’s premium WF-1000XM5 model. This helps deliver real-time noise cancellation that adjusts to your surroundings. Whether you're on a noisy street or in a crowded cafe, the earbuds aim to block distractions without cutting you off from the world completely.
Speaking of staying connected, the Auto Ambient Sound mode automatically adjusts external sound levels so you can stay aware of what’s happening around you. You can talk to someone without taking the earbuds out.
For audio quality, the LinkBuds Fit support Hi-Res Audio Wireless through LDAC and come with a Dynamic Driver X for better clarity and richer sound. Sony also uses AI to upscale compressed files in real time to improve the quality of your music.
Call quality has also been given attention. Using AI and Precise Voice Pickup, the earbuds reduce background noise during calls, keeping your voice clear even in noisy places.
In terms of controls, you can access music quickly using features like Quick Access, Spotify Tap, and even head gestures. You don’t need to touch the earbuds—you can tap near your ear to control playback.
Battery life is up to 21 hours with the case as per Sony. A quick 5-minute charge gives you an hour of playback. The earbuds are also IPX4 water-resistant, so they can handle light rain or sweat.
They work with Sony’s Sound Connect app, which lets you adjust sound settings and track listening habits. And on the sustainability front, Sony says the earbuds and packaging use recycled materials and no plastic.
