X down

Users from across the globe are unable to access X (formerly Twitter). The Elon Musk-owned social media platform appears to be down from hundreds of users globally, including in India.

Downdetector, a platform that keeps track of apps and services status, has also received multiple reports from X users and at the time of filing this article, the platform has received over thousands of reports.

However, as per Downdetector, the Indian region had received only over 350 reports.

Problems users are facing with X

According to the outage tracking website, around 52% of users have reported that they are facing issues while accessing the X app, 46% of them have reported issues related to the X website and the remaining have reported login issues with the social media platform.

The outage reports, as per Downdetector, started surfacing around 7:40 pm.

We at Moneycontrol tried accessing X and some of us managed to access the platform, while others got an error message while loading the login page.

What has caused the outage

X hasn’t acknowledged the ongoing outage as of now. Neither it has provided any reason behind what has caused the platform to go down for users globally
