Samsung to soon launch Galaxy A16 5G with IP54 rating and six OS updates

Samsung is set to expand its budget smartphone lineup with the all-new Galaxy A16 5G smartphone. The handset is being touted as the first A series phone to offer 6 generations of OS updates and 6 years of security updates. In addition to this, the handset will also offer IP54 water and dust resistance rating.

The official price of the Galaxy A16 5G is yet to be announced. Samsung has confirmed that the smartphone will be available in three colour options: Gold, Light Green, and Blue Black.

The Galaxy A16 5G will be equipped with a MediaTek processor that's expected to offer a smooth overall experience. The phone will include a triple-camera setup with an ultra-wide lens and a Super AMOLED display.

Regarding durability and security, the Galaxy A16 5G boasts an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance and is built with Samsung’s Knox Vault chipset. It also offers Knox security features like Auto Blocker, Secure Folder, and Private Share to protect users' data.

The Galaxy A16 5G's design incorporates Samsung’s ‘Key Island’ aesthetic and a classic back pattern. It offers a sleek appearance with thinner bezels for an immersive display experience.
