Samsung launches Galaxy Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra with Galaxy AI, new S-Pen and 7 years of software support

Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S11, introducing its thinnest and most AI-packed tablets to date. The new series combines a redesigned S Pen, upgraded Samsung DeX, and Galaxy AI capabilities powered by One UI 8, offering a productivity-first experience in a slim, portable design.

Price and availability

The Galaxy Tab S11 series will be available starting September 4 in select global markets in Gray and Silver colour options. While Samsung has yet to disclose Indian pricing, global variants include multiple configurations: up to 16GB RAM with 1TB storage, expandable via microSD up to 2TB. Both Wi-Fi and 5G models will be offered, with the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra featuring a 14.6-inch display and the Tab S11 featuring an 11-inch panel.

Features

The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra stands out with a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 1600 nits. At just 5.1mm thick, it becomes Samsung’s slimmest tablet yet, while still packing an 11,600mAh battery with 45W fast charging. The smaller Galaxy Tab S11 features an 11-inch AMOLED display, 8,400mAh battery, and equally slim 5.5mm profile. Both tablets run Android 16 with One UI 8.

A major highlight is Galaxy AI integration. Users can leverage Gemini Live for real-time screen sharing and contextual assistance, Drawing Assist to refine sketches, Writing Assist to improve text tone, and Circle to Search for instant translations and on-screen queries. The AI features work across apps and multitasking environments, enhancing creativity and productivity.

Samsung DeX also gets a major overhaul. The new Extended Mode enables a true dual-screen experience by running DeX across the tablet and an external monitor simultaneously. Users can also create up to four customizable workspaces tailored for work, study, or personal use.

The redesigned S Pen adds a cone-shaped tip for better tilt support and an ergonomic hexagonal grip for comfort, supporting both professional-grade drawing and quick notetaking. Combined with partner apps like Goodnotes, Clip Studio Paint, LumaFusion, and Notion, the tablets are positioned as all-in-one devices for creators, professionals, and students alike.
