Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 vs Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE: Which one should you buy?
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE are the latest clamshell foldables from Samsung with dual screens and impressive hardware. But which one of these suits you best? Here are seven key differences to help you determine.
Build and design Both phones are toughened up with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and an Armour Aluminium frame. Further, they come with an IP48 rating, which means they can be at least submersed in water. Both also come with a similar form factor and weigh under 190 grams.

Display The Flip 7 comes with a larger 4.1-inch cover display that now stretches edge-to-edge, and supports up to a 120Hz refresh rate, like the inner 6.9-inch foldable screen. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, meanwhile, offers a 3.4-inch cover screen with the default 60Hz refresh rate, like last year’s Z Flip 6. It also has a smaller 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X inner display.

Performance The Flip 7 and Flip 7 FE are the first foldables from Samsung, which are powered by the company’s native Exynos chipsets. The Flip 7 is powered by the latest and powerful Exynos 2500 chipset, backed by 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. Meanwhile, the Flip 7 FE comes with the slower Exynos 2400 SoC, 8GB RAM, and up to 256GB storage.

Camera Both smartphones come with a 50MP main + 12MP ultra-wide setup, paired with a 10MP front camera. However, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 offers more camera AI features with real-time filters on the Flex Window, which now acts as a bigger viewfinder.
Battery size and charging The Galaxy Z Flip 7 comes with a 4,300mAh cell, compared to the smaller 4,000mAh battery pack on the Z Flip 7 FE. Both devices support 25W fast charging, 15W wireless charging, and 4.5W reverse wireless charging. However, the Z Flip 7 is expected to provide more endurance compared to the FE.

Software Software-wise, both devices run on the latest One UI 8 operating system based on Android 16. Moreover, they come baked with the full Galaxy AI suite and Gemini Live on the cover screen. Sadly, the Z Flip 7 FE doesn’t support Samsung’s DeX mode, meaning it can’t be used as a PC when plugged into a monitor.

Price The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 starts at Rs 1,09,999, and offers a larger 256GB storage on its base model. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE has a slightly more affordable price tag, as it can be purchased at a starting price of Rs 89,999. However, it comes with 128GB storage on its base variant.
