Samsung has confirmed the launch of the Galaxy M17 5G in India on October 10. The smartphone arrives shortly after the Galaxy M16 5G went out of stock, suggesting strong demand for Samsung’s mid-range 5G lineup. The Galaxy M17 5G is aimed at younger users who want a durable, camera-focused smartphone with new AI-powered experiences.
Expected price in India
While Samsung has not officially revealed pricing, the Galaxy M17 5G is expected to be priced around Rs 15,000–Rs 17,000, positioning it in the competitive mid-segment market. The smartphone will be available online and at Samsung retail outlets across India.
Features
The Galaxy M17 5G comes equipped with a 50MP OIS triple-camera setup, allowing for blur-free photos and shake-free videos. The Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) feature reduces motion blur and improves low-light photography, while AI enhancements automatically optimise exposure and colour balance.
The phone features Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection and an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. It measures just 7.5mm in thickness, offering a slim, durable build. The device includes a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, aimed at users who prioritize immersive viewing experiences.
For the first time in Samsung’s M1x-series, the Galaxy M17 5G introduces AI features powered by Circle to Search with Google and Gemini Live, enabling real-time visual searches and AI-driven interactions. The smartphone will be available in Moonlight Silver and Sapphire Black colour options.
The Galaxy M17 5G is expected to continue Samsung’s focus on performance and durability in the mid-range category. Its combination of AI tools, camera stability, and robust build makes it one of the most anticipated launches this festive season.
