Oppo introduces ColorOS 16 with seamless animation and new features, to launch with upcoming X9 series

Oppo has officially unveiled its next operating system, Color OS 16, at its Oppo Developer Conference in Shenzhen, China. The company has also revealed that the OS will be first available with the upcoming Oppo Find X9 series, which is expected to be launched in India next month. Moreover, with ColorOS 16, Oppo aims to provide smoother performance, smarter features and superior connectivity.

Through a press release, Oppo has teased a few upcoming features of ColorOS 16. For starters, it introduces Seamless Animation, which allows for smoother animations and fluidity across all system functions or while switching between apps. This creates a cohesive visual flow intended to make the entire system feel more intuitive.

Moreover, with Color OS 16, Oppo has introduced a Luminous Rendering Engine and Trinity Engine. The Luminous Rendering Engine takes control of all visual components and renders them in parallel, ensuring smoother animations, while the Trinity Engine combines chip-level enhancements with smart resource allocation, ensuring optimum speed and performance. Oppo has also revealed that the design of ColorOS 16 is inspired by nature with the interplay of light and shadow throughout the whole UI.

We also get the option to use Motion Photos as wallpapers in this OS. ColorOS 16 also gest full-screen Always On Display (AOD), new AI-powered photo editing tools, and a Master Cut mode to edit videos at a faster pace. Moreover, the O+ Connect sharing tool will now support seamless connection with both Mac and Windows PCs, allowing users to transfer phone files from their computer or remotely control their computer from their phone.

Oppo has also revealed that ColorOS 16 will debut with the upcoming Find X9 series in India. Additionally, the upcoming Oppo Pad 5, OnePlus 15, and OnePlus Ace 6 will be the first devices to be equipped with ColorOS 16 in China.
