Samsung has bigger plans for its foldable lineup this year, as the Korean tech giant is likely to introduce four new foldable smartphones this year. Alongside its standard Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, the company is also expected to introduce an affordable clamshell-type foldable and its first-ever tri-fold device this year.
A new leak has now surfaced, suggesting that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will feature a new hinge design and a less visible crease. It is also tipped to come with other design improvements which are likely to increase its durability, compared to its predecessors.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 to get major design upgrades: Key details
According to X tipster PandaFlash X (@PandaFlashPro), the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 will come with many design upgrades over its predecessor. The upcoming clamshell foldable is expected to get a stronger hinge and a less visible crease. Moreover, the phone is tipped to feature new flexible glass and a larger vapour chamber for improved thermal management, especially under heavy load.
Further, as per the tipster, Samsung has improved the efficiency of the display in the Galaxy Z Flip 7, as it will use Samsung's ProScaler display algorithm, which was first announced with the Galaxy S25 series, this year. This will likely make the screen even more vibrant and smoother to use, also improving the viewing experience.
Under the hood, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will likely run on the new Exynos 2500 chipset. However, the charging speed is expected to stay at 25W, which was the standard for the previous models. Thankfully, the tipster adds that the charging will have slight improvements to improve the overall charging efficiency by offering quicker top-ups.
