Samsung recently launched its latest Galaxy M55 alongside the Galaxy M15 in the Indian market. The phones were earlier unveiled in the global market. The Samsung Galaxy M55 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. It comes in three RAM and storage options and is available in two colour variants.
Samsung Galaxy M55: Price, availability and offers
The Samsung Galaxy M55 has a starting price of Rs. 26,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant has been priced at Rs. 29,999, and the 12GB RAM + 256GB variant is listed at Rs. 32,999.
The smartphone is available via Amazon and Samsung India’s official website. Buyers can get flat instant discount of Rs 2,000 on all banks’ credit card, credit card EMI, debit card, debit card EMI Payment. The smartphone then has an effective starting price of Rs. 24,999. Its two colour options are Denim Black and Light Green.
Samsung Galaxy M55: Key features
The Samsung Galaxy M55 5G comes with a 6.7-inch Full HD+ (2,400 x 1,080 pixels) Super AMOLED display. It supports a 120Hz peak refresh rate and has a peak brightness support of 1,000 nits. It is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, which is a midrange processor from Qualcomm.
The smartphone ships with Android 14-based One UI 6.1 out of the box, and Samsung has promised four years of OS updates and five years of security updates.
The smartphone comes with a triple camera setup at the back. It has a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies and video calls, Samsung has provided a high-resolution 50MP camera sensor. Samsung has also included some AI-enhanced features such as Image Clipper and Object Eraser, which were introduced with the S24 series, earlier this year.
The phone is backed up by a 5000mAh battery, with support for 45W wired charging. Samsung claims that with its 45W charging the phone can be 70% charged in under 30 minutes.
