Motorola introduces Moto G96 5G with Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, 144Hz display: Price, specs, and more

Motorola has launched the new Moto G96 5G phone in India. It features a 144Hz curved pOLED display, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, IP68 protection, a vegan leather back with multiple color options, and a 50MP main camera with a Sony Lytia LYT-700C sensor. Further, the phone's display supports water touch technology and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

The Moto G96 5G is available for Rs 17,999 for the base model with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage. Meanwhile, the 8GB + 256GB variant costs Rs. 19,999. The Moto G96 5G comes in Ashleigh Blue, Dresden Blue, Cattleya Orchid, and Greener Pastures colourways. It will be available from Flipkart, Motorola’s website, and major offline stores starting July 16.

The Motorola Moto G96 5G sports a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ 10-bit 3D curved pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 1,600 nits brightness level, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC paired with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage. Further, the Moto G96 5G comes with a dual rear camera setup, including a 50MP Sony Lytia 700C primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and an 8MP ultrawide shooter.

At the front, it gets a 32MP sensor. It ships with Android 15-based Hello UI skin and will receive one OS upgrade with three years of security updates. The Moto G96 5G packs a 5,500mAh battery with a 33W wired TurboPower charger, supplied in the box. Connectivity options include dual nano SIM, 5G, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. It is also equipped with dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support and weighs 178.1g.
