Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 gets confirmed PC launch date

Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is coming to PC on January 30, 2025, via Steam and Epic Games Store, according to a PlayStation Blog post by Aaron Jason Espinoza, Senior Community Manager at Insomniac Games. The California-based developer also made the announcement on X.

Although Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is going to launch on PC, it won’t have any DLC to further the adventures of the web slingers, an announcement that has got the fans miffed. Insomniac Games said in the blog post that they “have no additional story content planned for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2”.

The PC version of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 “is being developed and optimized” by Nixxes Software in partnership with Insomniac Games, PlayStation and Marvel Games.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PC version will come with features like “enhanced ray-tracing options, to take full advantage of a variety of setups and configurations.” The developers plan to reveal “more details on features and recommended specs closer to launch”.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will have two PC editions

Two editions for the PC version of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 are currently under development. They are the Standard Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition (DDE). Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Standard Edition buyers will be able to upgrade to the Digital Deluxe Edition.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 – Standard Edition will contain the base game and “all the latest updates since Marvel Spider-Man 2’s PS5 launch” such as 14 new suits, New Game+, Ultimate Levels, New Symbiote Suit Styles, Time of Day options, post-game achievements, Action Figure Mode in Photo Mode, and Screen Reader and Audio Descriptions.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 – Digital Deluxe Edition will have the base game, all of the above-mentioned updates the Standard Edition brings and some extra content like “5 exclusive suits for Peter Parker, 5 exclusive suits for Miles Morales, early unlock for the Arachknight Suit (Peter), early unlock for the Shadow-Spider Suit (Miles), early unlock for the Web Grabber gadget, +5 skill points, and additional Photo Mode items.

Insomniac Games and Marvel Games earlier brought two Spider-Man games–Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales– to PC.
