WhatsApp is set to roll out a new feature that will allow iOS users to manage multiple accounts on a single device. According to a report by WaBetaInfo, this update, currently in the beta testing phase
The feature, discovered in the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS 25.2.10.70 update on TestFlight, will enable users to add and switch between multiple accounts directly within the app.
This feature will make it easier for users managing multiple phone numbers, whether for personal or professional reasons. Currently, many rely on WhatsApp Business to handle a second number, even if they’re not using it for business purposes. The upcoming update could streamline this process, eliminating the need for a separate app.
Users can set up a primary account or scan a QR code to link a new account as an associate.
Notably, the iOS version of it comes over a year after the feature was introduced for Android users. On Android, running two accounts simultaneously requires a dual-SIM setup, but the new iOS update simplifies the process by allowing users to keep all their conversations in one app.
The feature will allow users to manage all their conversations within one app while keeping accounts separate. Notifications, chats, backups, and settings will remain unique to each account, ensuring they function independently. This will be particularly beneficial for users with dual SIM devices, as they’ll no longer need to assign one SIM to WhatsApp and the other to WhatsApp Business. Instead, the main app will enable seamless management of both numbers simultaneously.
