iPhone 16 Pro can be bought for under Rs 60,000: 3 reasons to buy, 2 reasons to skip

The iPhone 16 Pro is available on Amazon India for under Rs 60,000 through bank and exchange offers. Here’s how the deal works, where it’s available, and whether the discounted Pro iPhone is still worth buying now that the iPhone 17 series is out.

iPhone 16 Pro

Apple’s Pro iPhones are not known for deep discounts, which is why the current deal on the iPhone 16 Pro stands out. A phone that usually sells online for around Rs 1,09,900 can now be bought for under Rs 60,000, and in the best-case scenario, even close to Rs 45,000. For anyone who has been waiting to upgrade to a Pro iPhone, this is one of the most aggressive price drops seen in recent years.

But before hitting the buy button, it’s important to understand where this deal is available, how it works, and whether it still makes sense now that the iPhone 17 series is officially here.

Where the deal is available and how it works

This discount is currently available on Amazon India. It is not an Apple Store offer and does not apply to offline retail stores. The lower price comes from stacking multiple offers available on Amazon’s listing.

First, there is an instant bank discount of Rs 4,000, available on select debit and credit cards. This discount is applied directly at checkout.

The bigger reduction comes from Amazon’s exchange programme. Depending on the model and condition of your old phone, Amazon is offering an exchange value of up to Rs 68,050. When the exchange amount and the bank discount are applied together, the effective price of the iPhone 16 Pro drops sharply. If your phone qualifies for the full exchange value, the final price can fall well below Rs 50,000, and in some cases, close to Rs 45,000.

Of course, this is the best-case scenario. The final price depends on your old device and whether you have an eligible bank card.

Three reasons this deal makes sense

The biggest reason to consider this offer is value. The iPhone 16 Pro launched as a premium flagship with a titanium body, a smooth ProMotion display, and Apple’s powerful A18 Pro chip. At under Rs 60,000, you’re effectively getting a high-end phone at a price where most options are mid-range.

Performance is another strong point. Even in 2025, the iPhone 16 Pro feels fast and reliable. Everyday tasks, gaming, photography, and multitasking are handled effortlessly. For most users, this level of performance will remain more than enough for years.

The camera system is still one of the phone’s biggest strengths. Apple’s cameras focus on consistency, and the iPhone 16 Pro delivers sharp photos, excellent video quality, and a useful 5x telephoto lens. If camera quality matters to you, this phone still feels premium despite not being the newest model.

Two reasons you might want to skip

The biggest reason to pause is timing. The iPhone 17 series is now Apple’s latest lineup, bringing newer processors, camera improvements, and a longer future software support window. If you prefer owning the newest model or plan to keep your phone for five to six years, the newer series may be a better long-term choice.

The second concern is the exchange dependency. The headline price depends heavily on getting a high exchange value. Not everyone will qualify for the full Rs 68,050. If your old phone fetches a lower amount, the final price may not feel as attractive.

So, should you buy it?

If you have a good phone to exchange and want a powerful Pro iPhone without paying flagship prices, the iPhone 16 Pro on Amazon for under Rs 60,000 is a genuinely strong deal. It still offers premium performance, excellent cameras, and long software support.

But if you don’t qualify for the full exchange benefit, or you want the latest Apple hardware, it may be worth waiting for discounts on the iPhone 17 series instead. This deal is excellent, but only if the numbers work in your favour.
