Apple’s iPhone 16 has become significantly more affordable in India, with major electronics retailers Reliance Digital and Vijay Sales rolling out aggressive discounts on the device. The 128GB model, which launched at Rs 79,900, is currently being sold at a base deal price of Rs 64,900. With additional bank offers applied, buyers can bring the effective price down to nearly Rs 60,000.

The deal essentially knocks off about Rs 15,000 from the original launch price even before bank discounts are applied. Retailers are then layering additional card-based offers on top, making the flagship phone far more accessible than it was at launch.

Reliance Digital is offering some of the strongest bank-led deals right now. ICICI Bank credit card users can get a flat Rs 4,000 instant discount, which reduces the effective price of the iPhone 16 to Rs 60,900. Meanwhile, customers using Yes Bank, HSBC or BOBCARD credit cards can avail a 7.5 percent instant discount on the purchase. IDFC credit card holders are also eligible for a 7.5 percent discount capped at Rs 7,500, which could potentially push the final price even lower depending on the transaction value. When combined with the base deal price, the total savings can reach close to Rs 19,000 compared to the phone’s launch price.

Vijay Sales is also offering competitive deals on the same model. HDFC Bank credit card users can get a flat Rs 3,500 instant discount on EMI transactions with a tenure of six months or longer. This reduces the effective price to Rs 61,400. ICICI Bank credit card users can avail a 5 percent instant discount up to Rs 3,000, bringing the cost down to around Rs 61,900. In addition, Bank of Baroda credit card users can claim a 10 percent discount up to Rs 3,000, while OneCard users get a flat Rs 2,000 off. Vijay Sales is also offering exchange options, which may push the final price below Rs 60,000 depending on the value of the old smartphone being traded in.

Even in 2026, the iPhone 16 continues to remain a strong option for buyers. One of the key reasons is its support for Apple Intelligence, the company’s AI-powered system that helps with writing tasks, image creation and a smarter version of Siri. The phone runs on Apple’s A18 chip paired with a 5-core GPU, which remains powerful enough for demanding apps and modern mobile games.

On the hardware side, the device features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display protected by Ceramic Shield. It also offers a 48MP Fusion main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide lens capable of macro photography and spatial video recording. With IP68 water and dust resistance and support for MagSafe wireless charging up to 25W, the iPhone 16 still holds its ground as a capable premium smartphone.
