Want to get rich on X (formerly Twitter)? According to the platform’s head of product, Nikita Bier, the answer is surprisingly simple: post smart content about what you know best—and do it every single day.
Bier, who took over the role in July, recently shared what he calls a “playbook” for success on X. His advice? Pick a subject you’re genuinely knowledgeable about—whether it’s plumbing, menswear, Indian food, or anything else and share concise, unexpected insights daily for six months.
“Post one unexpected insight you picked from your experience in that area. Keep it under five sentences. Do this every day for six months,” Bier explained in a series of posts. “By the end, you will be recognised as the world’s leading expert in that subject area, and you can charge whatever you want for endorsements, your time, or whatever.”
Bier insists this isn’t just theory,he claims it’s how he landed his own role at X. In a June 30 post, he revealed he had been “gunning for the role for three years” and “posted his way to the top.”
Not everyone agrees, though. One user argued that X’s algorithm “favors slop.” Bier dismissed the criticism, saying, “That was then, this now. Make sure you write in a way that is accessible to broader audiences.”
There’s some evidence his strategy works. Derek Guy, better known online as “menswear guy,” built an audience of 1.3 million followers simply by posting regularly about men’s clothing. He’s now considered one of X’s most recognizable fashion voices.
Bier’s larger point is that building wealth and influence on X isn’t about chasing trends or tricks—it’s about consistency and expertise. If people see you as a trusted voice in your niche, the platform’s algorithm will amplify you, opening doors to money-making opportunities.
So, if you’ve been wondering how to turn tweets into fortune, Bier’s advice is clear: share what you know, keep it short, and don’t skip a day.
