HMD is looking likely to introduce the Pulse 2 smartphone soon, which will be the successor to last year’s HMD Pulse. While there is no official post or detail regarding the phone yet from HMD, the features of the purported Pulse 2 have surfaced online, revealing its key specifications, ahead of the anticipated debut. Let us dive into the details.
HMD Pulse 2: Expected specifications, features
According to X tipster HMD_MEME’S (@smashx_60), the upcoming HMD Pulse 2, which is codenamed M-Kopa X3, will sport a 6.7-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is further tipped to run on the Unisoc T7250 chipset, backed by 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage, and support for 256GB MicroSD card.
In terms of optics, the HMD Pulse 2 is tipped to feature an 8MP front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture. It could feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for authentication. The phone will reportedly have a 5,000mAh battery with 20W charging support. In terms of connectivity, it might offer Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC.
The tipster did not reveal any launch timeline for the device. However, it is worth noting that the same tipster shared renders and key specifications of the HMD Pulse 2 Pro a few weeks ago. So, like the HMD Pulse lineup, the Pulse 2 and Pulse 2 Pro smartphones could launch at the same time, with a potential release date expected to be revealed soon.
