GoPro launches Hero and Hero 13 action cameras in India: Price, features and more

GoPro has launched two new action cameras in India—the Hero 13 Black and the Hero —targeting both advanced users and those seeking a compact, easy-to-use device. The Hero 13 Black succeeds last year’s Hero 12 Black. While the Hero is the company’s all-new product and it is touted as their smallest action camera yet.

Price and availability

The Hero 3 Black is priced at Rs 44,990 for the standalone version. GoPro also offers the Hero13 Black Creator Edition, priced at Rs 64,990, which includes additional accessories like the Volta Power Grip, Media Mod, and Light Mod.

An Accessory Bundle, priced at INR 49,990, is also available. It features the Hero13 Black along with The Handler (Floating Hand Grip), an extra Enduro battery, a Curved Adhesive Mount, a 64GB SD card, and a carrying case.

The GoPro Hero is priced at Rs 23,990 and is positioned as GoPro’s smallest and most affordable 4K camera.

Pre-orders for the Hero13 Black and its variants are available starting today through online platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, and Croma. Shipping and retail availability for the Hero13 Black will begin on September 10.

The Hero will be available for pre-order starting September 16, with shipping and retail availability beginning on September 22.

Customers purchasing from GoPro’s official distributor, Luxury Personified (LP), will receive an additional one-year warranty at no extra cost, in addition to the standard one-year international warranty.

Go Pro Hero13 Black features

The Hero13 Black is equipped with a 5.3K video resolution at 60 frames per second, providing users with high-definition video capture. This model supports four new HB-Series interchangeable lenses, including Ultra-Wide, Macro, Anamorphic, and ND filters.

The camera automatically detects each lens and optimises settings for different shooting environments.

Additional features include a redesigned 1900mAh Enduro battery that claims to offer longer runtimes in various weather conditions, magnetic latch mounting for easy attachment, and GPS for tracking speed, path, terrain, altitude, and g-force.

The Hero13 Black also supports faster WiFi 6 technology for quicker content transfer and offers customisable audio tuning options, allowing users to balance sound or enhance vocal clarity.

GoPro Hero features

The Hero is GoPro’s most compact 4K camera, weighing just 86 grams. It features Ultra HD 4K video recording and a 12MP photo capability. The camera is rugged and waterproof up to 16 feet (5 meters), making it suitable for various outdoor activities.

The Hero also includes a 2.7K slow-motion feature and an intuitive touch screen with one-button control for easy operation. The camera’s Enduro battery provides up to 100 minutes of continuous recording at the highest video setting, making it a reliable option for extended shooting sessions.
