Google has finally started rolling out the new AI-powered photo and video editing tools to Photos app. The features, according to Android Authority report, are now rolling out to users on both Android and iOS versions of the app. The new tools include updated Trim tool, Auto Enhance, Speed tool and new video presets.

Google Photos new editing tools: Details

According to the report, the new editing tools are aimed at offering better and initiative controls to users with new larger buttons and labels for common tasks. Along with this, the app has also received the recently announced AI-powered editing tools like Auto Enhance, Speed tool and new video presets.

Updated Trim tool

One of the key changes is the updated trim tool. This feature allows users to cut video footage more precisely, with improved controls for better accuracy. The new trim tool replaces the previous version, offering users a more user-friendly interface for editing their clips.

Auto Enhance

The new Auto Enhance tool lets users improve their video’s appearance with a single tap. This feature automatically adjusts colors and stabilizes the footage, helping create more polished videos with minimal effort. It aims to simplify the editing process, making it easier to produce well-balanced content.

New Speed tool

Another addition is the speed tool, which allows users to adjust playback speeds. This tool offers the ability to create slow-motion effects or speed up video footage.

AI-Powered Video presets

Google has also introduced AI-powered video presets. These presets help users with tasks such as trimming videos, adjusting lighting, controlling playback speed, and applying effects. Some effects include dynamic motion tracking and zooming in on the main action.

Rollout details

These updates are part of Google’s ongoing efforts to enhance the Google Photos app, making video editing tools more accessible for users on both Android and iOS platforms. The features will be available as part of a gradual rollout across both operating systems.
