Google Photos has introduced a new cutout tool on iOS, giving users a quick and effortless way to turn photos into stickers. The feature mirrors Apple’s Visual Look Up, making it possible to isolate a person, pet, or object from a picture in just a couple of seconds.
To use it, open any photo in Google Photos on your iPhone or iPad, long-press the subject you want to isolate, and the app will automatically cut it out from the background. From there, you can copy it to your clipboard or share it directly as a sticker in chats and social apps. No editing apps or extra steps required.
For now, this tool is exclusive to iOS. Android users will need to wait until Google rolls it out more widely. In the meantime, similar features are available through Samsung and OnePlus gallery apps, while third-party options such as Fotor or Remove.bg can be used for manual cutouts.
The simplicity of the feature makes sticker creation far more seamless. It eliminates downloads and cropping, letting you create fun, personalised reactions straight from your photos. While Apple’s Photos app offers more creative touches like outlines and stylised effects, Google’s version keeps things minimal but functional.
The update positions Google Photos as a smart, no-nonsense way to create reaction stickers instantly. Whether for messaging or social updates, it adds a touch of personality with almost no effort.
