After months of rumours and leaks, Google has finally unveiled the Pixel 9a smartphone in India and global markets. It is the company's newest addition to its midrange ‘a’ series and is powered by the latest Tensor G4 chipset. Further, the smartphone ships with Android 15, and Google has promised seven years of software support, including Pixel Drops, operating system updates, and security patches.
Google Pixel 9a: Price in India and availability
The Google Pixel 9a comes in one variant featuring 8GB RAM and 256GB storage and it is priced at Rs 49,999. It will be available in Iris, Obsidian, Peony, and Porcelain colour options. Google has confirmed that Pixel 9a will go on sale in India next month via its retail partners. Moreover, prospective buyers can avail of limited-period cashback offers of Rs 3,000 and 24 months of no-cost EMI benefits.
Additionally, the Pixel 9a comes bundled with three months of Google One, three months of YouTube Premium, and six months of Fitbit Premium.

The Google Pixel 9a sports a 6.3-inch Actua pOLED Full HD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate. The panel has a peak brightness of up to 2,700nits and also comes with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Further, the device is powered by Google’s fourth-generation Tensor G4 chip paired with a Titan M2 security chip
In terms of optics, the Pixel 9a is equipped with a 48MP rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 13MP ultra-wide camera at the back. At the front, the phone houses a 13MP front camera for selfies and video calls. Further, the device comes with several Pixel-exclusive camera features, which are Add Me, Face Unblur, Magic Editor and Eraser, and Best Take.
In terms of battery, the Pixel 9a packs a 5,100mAh battery that supports 23W wired charging speed when used with Google's 45W power adapter and 7.5W wireless (Qi) charging. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, GPS, NavIC, and a USB 3.2 Type-C port.
