Google has launched Google for Startups Accelerator Apps program

Google has launched its Google for Startups Accelerator Apps program, a 3-month mentorship program for Android app-based startups from India. Applications for the Google for Startups Accelerator Apps program are open now and will close on August 15, 2024. The Google for Startups Accelerator Apps program starts in September. Out of all the applications, Google will select 20 eligible app companies. “Selected startups will get tailored input to improve their product experience, tech approach, security, and grow their user base”, Google said in a blog post.

According to Google, startups that meet the following criteria are eligible to apply:

• Android app-based startups
• Based in India
• Preferably Seed to Series A stages

1. Access to mentors The Google for Startups Accelerator Apps program offers 1:1 access to mentors with extensive Android, Cloud and AI ecosystem knowledge and experience.

3. Access Android and Play Teams
The startups chosen for the Google for Startups Accelerator Apps program can “work closely with teams from Android and Google Play who will offer mentorship into product development, design, and growth strategies”, said Google in the blog post.

4. Credits
Eligible startups will get the support of dedicated Google AI technical expertise and Google Cloud credits via the Google for Startups Cloud Program.

5. AI Knowledge and Tools
Google claims that with access to its AI resources and expertise, the chosen startups will learn in detail about how to use AI for their solutions.
