Sucker Punch Productions’ highly anticipated action role-playing game Ghost of Yōtei will launch today. The single-player game can still be pre-ordered, however, and there are some exciting in-game rewards for those who preorder the upcoming revenge saga. Let’s take a look at all the pre-order benefits of Ghost of Yōtei.

Ghost of Yōtei comes in three game editions: Standard, Digital Deluxe and Collector’s Edition. The preorder benefits apply to all the game editions and are not limited to a certain edition.

Pre-ordering any edition of Ghost of Yōtei gets you “a unique in-game mask, as well as a set of seven PSN avatars featuring concept art of Atsu and each member of the Yōtei Six at launch. Pre-orders on PlayStation Store will receive the avatars immediately,” the developers said in a post on the PlayStation Blog.

In Ghost of Yōtei, the Yōtei Six are the six vagabonds who killed Atsu’s family. Sixteen years ago in the heart of Ezo (present-day Hokkaido), a gang of outlaws known as the Yōtei Six murdered Atsu’s family and left her for dead, pinned to a burning ginkgo tree outside her home.

Atsu survives and, after several years of preparation, comes back to exact vengeance upon the six outlaws responsible for the death of her family. They are The Snake, The Kitsune, The Oni, The Spider, The Dragon and Lord Saitō (the leader of the group).

Atsu won't just be fighting in the game the whole time. She will meet travellers on the road and can establish a camp to rest and recover. Her allies can visit her at the camp to offer useful items and unique upgrades. Atsu can cook, trade items and even learn new songs.
