Google Play has revealed its Best of 2024 awards for India, recognising top apps and games, and celebrating the achievements of their developers. “On the apps front, this year, we once again saw a diverse range of innovative solutions addressing a variety of needs, including fashion styling, health, expense tracking, and news,” said Google in a blog post.

This year, five out of seven winners in the app category were developed by Indian companies, highlighting local innovation. The awards emphasised AI-driven solutions, with India accounting for 21% of global AI mobile app downloads in 2024.
