Step 2: Locate your device on a map

If your device goes missing:

• Visit iCloud.com and sign in
• Select the Devices tab to see all linked hardware on a map.

If the device is online, you’ll see its real-time location. If it’s offline, the Find My network can still detect it using nearby Apple devices anonymously relaying its location.

Step 3: Play a sound to find nearby devices

If you’ve misplaced your device at home, tap Play Sound.

The device will emit a loud ping, even if it’s on silent mode — useful for finding phones buried in sofas or bags.

Step 4: Enable Lost Mode

If you believe the device is truly lost:

• Select the device
• Tap Mark As Lost

However, once the device is erased, you can no longer track its location — unless it is still linked to your Apple ID and remains connected to a network.
