Nothing’s sub-brand, CMF, is launching the new CMF Phone 2 Pro smartphone in India on April 28. Earlier this week, the brand confirmed that this smartphone will be available in two colour options with a dual-tone back panel. Now, just days ahead of the reveal, Nothing has shared more details around its rear design, and confirmed that the phone will come with a new universal cover system alongside support for 3D printing.
Nothing CMF Phone 2 Pro: Design details
Akis Evangelidis, co-founder and India President of Nothing, has confirmed that the upcoming CMF Phone 2 Pro, unlike the CMF Phone 1, will come with a sealed back design to enhance its durability and provide a better in-hand feel. However, the device will retain the screws with a bottom attachment point like its predecessor to attach various modular accessories and attachments.
The CMF Phone 2 Pro is also confirmed to be the thinnest smartphone from Nothing and will get a new universal cover system, allowing users to print custom 3D covers with working buttons to attach to the device. This should allow CMF Phone 2 Pro users to design custom back covers for the smartphone based on their liking and preferences.
Nothing CMF Phone 2 Pro: Expected specifications, price
The CMF Phone 2 Pro is confirmed to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset. Further, the device will house an AI-powered Essential Space key, which was first introduced with the Nothing Phone 3a series earlier this year. The phone is also confirmed to get a triple rear camera setup, which is likely to include a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultrawide lens.
Additionally, the Phone 2 Pro is expected to be backed by a 5000mAh battery that may support 50W fast charging. In terms of pricing, the CMF Phone 2 Pro is tipped to have a starting price of under Rs 20,000 in India.
