If you’re struggling to edit a design on Canva today, you’re not alone. The popular design platform is down for many users across the country. Many people use the photo editing app for their work daily and this sudden outage has caused a hindrance in their work.
The trouble began early this morning, with users noticing they couldn’t upload images. Canva acknowledged the issue on its website, saying, "We are aware of an issue where users are unable to upload images and are currently investigating." That message went up around 10:21 AM IST, but users had already been facing problems for nearly an hour before that.
Outage-tracking website DownDetector showed a spike in reports starting at 9:27 AM IST, with over 50 complaints within an hour. The issue appears widespread, with reports coming from major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Chennai.
Naturally, many frustrated users turned to social media, flooding X (formerly Twitter) with complaints and memes. Some called for Canva to fix the issue quickly, while others scrambled to find alternative design tools to keep their work on track.
If you’re stuck without Canva, don’t panic—there are other options. Adobe Express is a great alternative with plenty of free features and no pesky watermarks. It might not be Canva, but at least it can help you get the job done while you wait for the platform to come back online.
For now, all eyes are on Canva as users hope for a quick fix.
