BGMI 4.0 update: Rollout timeline, new features, how to download and more

Krafton has released the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) 4.0 update, themed Spooky Soiree, starting September 11, 2025. The update brings new weapons, redesigned maps, immersive animations, and a Ghostie companion system that adds fresh abilities to the game. It is currently rolling out for Android users, with iOS availability expected soon.

The BGMI 4.0 update is live for Android through the Google Play Store. Players can update the game by searching for “Battlegrounds Mobile India,” selecting the official Krafton app, and tapping “Update.” After installation, an in-game resource download will be required. Krafton has confirmed that iOS users will also receive the update shortly.
