Apple’s next-generation iPhone 17 series is coming on September 9, which is about two weeks away, but the usual flow of rumours or leaks has already started giving us a peek at what might be on the way. This year, the Cupertino-based tech giant is expected to introduce a design revamp for the lineup, and tipster Majin Bu has now shared images of what are said to be new Liquid Silicone cases designed for the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, with new colour options, revealing the back design of these devices.
iPhone 17 Pro series Liquid Silicone cases leaked: Here’s what to expect
According to the recent leak from Majin Bu, the fresh lineup of Liquid Silicone cases for the iPhone 17 Pro models will be available in a range of eight different colour options. While some colour options have already been used by Apple in the past, some new shades like celadon, grass green, and pale orange suggest a mix of bright and muted colour options that might give people more choice than before.
Bu also claims that Apple initially tested a wider range of shades, such as carambola, crag grey, tannin, and lake green. However, these options have now reportedly been dropped, and there’s a chance they might still appear later as seasonal options. Further, these Liquid Silicone cases offer a soft-touch, matte texture that feels comfortable to hold while also offering a solid grip. Reportedly, these cases come with multiple cutouts for lanyard support as well.
Like in the past few years, Apple is expected to launch four new models this year, with the iPhone 17 Air expected to replace the iPhone Plus model this year. It is also heavily rumoured to be the slimmest iPhone ever made, with around 5.5mm thickness. Moreover, all iPhone 17 models are tipped to be powered by the A19 series chips.
