If rumours are to be believed then we are just under two weeks away from the launch of new iPhone models. A recent report by Bloomberg pegs Apple’s iPhone event to be held on September 10. While all eyes will be on the new iPhone models, it is expected that Apple will unveil other devices, including new models of AirPods and Apple Watch.
Apple Watch: What to expect
At the start of the year, the rumour mills were suggesting Apple would launch a special 10th anniversary edition of the Apple Watch. However, those rumoured plans might have been shelved. Apple is likely to unveil Watch Series 10 with a thinner design and better display. On the cards are also a new variant of the Apple Watch Ultra and an affordable Apple Watch SE. You can also expect a few new Watch bands to be unveiled at the September event.
AirPods: Pro, Max and more?
It has been close to four years since Apple launched the AirPods Max. Since then there has been no refresh or upgrades but the September event could see the arrival of the new headphones. Rumours suggest that there won’t be too many design changes but Apple is expected to put a Type-C charging port in its headphones. A new chip is also rumoured to come with AirPods Max 2.
Also, Apple is reportedly developing two new AirPods models to replace its existing third and second-generation options. The company is aiming to offer a wider range of choices by introducing both a premium and a more affordable version of the fourth-generation AirPods. The two rumoured models of AirPods are expected to be feature a Type-C port — something which Apple introduced in the AirPods Pro at the last iPhone launch event.
