Apple is preparing to launch the AirPods Pro 3 tomorrow, but early reports suggest users should not expect major upgrades in audio quality or Active Noise Cancellation. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has indicated that while some improvements may arrive through hardware changes, the biggest update in this generation will be health-related rather than sound-focused.

The AirPods Pro 3 will feature built-in heart rate tracking, a capability Apple earlier introduced with the Powerbeats Pro 2. The earbuds will use LED optical sensors that pulse to detect blood flow, providing real-time heart rate data. This information is expected to sync with Apple Health and other popular fitness apps, making the AirPods Pro 3 a more integrated health companion. For users who track workouts and wellness metrics, this marks a significant step in expanding the role of Apple’s audio devices beyond entertainment.
