Apple is expected to announce the fourth generation of iPhone SE in March of next year. The upcoming ‘affordable’ iPhone is speculated to bring major changes in terms of design, performance, features and more.
Several leaks and rumours have already surfaced online revealing the design, features and several other details of the iPhone SE4. Here’s everything that we know so far about the upcoming iPhone SE 4th-generation.
Performance
Apple has always made the SE edition as powerful as the current generation iPhone. We expect that trend to continue this year as well. Based on the leaks and rumours, the iPhone SE 4 will be powered by A18 chipset.
AI support
Considering that the phone will be powered by the AI-supported chipset, the iPhone SE 4 will support Apple Intelligence. The performance and features are expected to remain similar to that of more outgoing regular versions of iPhones.
Design
Apple iPhone SE 4 is expected to ditch the TouchID design in favour of a more modern FaceID design. This means we expect the phone to have either the Dynamic Island-based design or the older notch design.
Display
The design is set to change and with that the display size will change too. Based on the reports, the iPhone SE 4 will offer a 6.1-inch OLED panel with FaceID support.
Camera
From the leaked images of the iPhone SE4, it is expected that the phone will get a single camera setup at the back, while there will be a 12MP sensor at the front. The camera is expected to be the same 48MP sensor that we see on the iPhone 16 and iPhone 15 series.
USB Type-C
Apple iPhone SE4 is expected to have a USB Type-C port instead of a Lightning port.
Launch date
Apple hasn’t officially confirmed the launch date for the 4th-generation iPhone SE. However, based on the leaks and rumours, the launch is likely to happen in March 2025.
