Amazon users are reporting widespread problems while trying to shop on the platform or access services such as Amazon Music, with many saying they are unable to complete purchases or load content properly.
Reports of the issues surged on Downdetector, a website that tracks service outages based on user complaints. According to the site, a significant number of users began reporting problems related to checkout, search functions and account logins. The issues appear to be affecting both Amazon’s website and its mobile apps.
Many users say they are encountering error messages while browsing products. In several cases, clicking on a product page leads to a message saying, “Sorry, something went wrong.” Even when pages do load, some users report that pricing details are missing, making it difficult to continue with purchases.
There are also complaints about account-related problems. Some users say they are repeatedly being logged out when attempting to check out items or access their shopping carts. Others say pages are loading unusually slowly, even in sections of the site that are otherwise functioning.
The disruption is not limited to shopping alone. Some users have also reported trouble accessing their playlists on Amazon Music, suggesting that the issues may be affecting multiple services across the company’s ecosystem.
Several staff members at The Verge also said they experienced similar issues while trying to use the platform. According to their report, product pages frequently displayed errors, and key information such as pricing was missing on some listings.
Amazon acknowledged the problem in a brief update posted on the social media platform X, saying that some customers are experiencing issues. However, the company has not yet provided detailed information about what caused the disruption or how many users may be affected.
The company has also not confirmed whether the current problems are related to any infrastructure issues. Recently, Amazon Web Services (AWS) experienced outages in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates following drone strikes by the Iranian military. However, there has been no official indication that those incidents are connected to the current problems affecting Amazon’s shopping platform or apps.
For now, users experiencing difficulties may need to wait until Amazon resolves the issue. The company has not shared a timeline for when services will return to normal, but outage reports continue to be monitored as more users report disruptions.
