India batter Yashasvi Jaiswal was taken to the hospital after experiencing severe stomach cramps in Pune on Tuesday. He was in the city for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy between Mumbai and Rajasthan, which the former won by three wickets. Although the southpaw managed to score only 15 off 16 balls, Mumbai still chased down a staggering 217 riding on Sarfaraz Khan's blitz.

As reported by the Times of India, Jaiswal was admitted to Aditya Birla Hospital due to acute gastroenteritis. It added Jaiswal's stomach problems increased after the game and persisted throughout. He received the appropriate medical care and had to do a CT scan and ultrasound. Later on, he was asked to keep taking his medication and get enough sleep.

Speaking of the game, Ajinkya Rahane too had a big role to play in Mumbai's win. The seasoned batter scored an undefeated 72, while Sarfaraz plundered 22-ball 73.

Sarfaraz went all out and hit seven 6s and six 4s, Rahane, on the other hand, smashed seven 4s and three 6s.

The duo combined to add 111 off 38 balls before Sarfaraz was dismissed by Manav Suthar, who registered three scalps and conceded 23 runs in his full quota overs.

Following the dismissal Mumbai endured a bit of hiccup but it wasn't enough from preventing them to cross the line as they wrapped the chase with 11 balls to spare.
