Ravindra Jadeja cemented his place in cricket history by dominating the ICC Test all-rounder rankings for the longest period of time. With an incredible 400 rating points, the Indian ace was confirmed as the top all-rounder in the International Cricket Council's (ICC) latest rankings. Despite his recent focus on white-ball competitions like the IPL, the accomplishment says eloquently about Jadeja’s incredible consistency and performance in Test cricket.

Notably, Jadeja overtook Jason Holder of the West Indies on March 9, 2022, to begin his run at the top of the ICC Test all-rounder rankings. Jadeja has now held onto this coveted position for an astounding 1,151 days, or more than 38 months and has maintained his lead over rivals like Mehedi Hasan Miraz of Bangladesh and Marco Jansen of South Africa.

Interestingly, Jadeja surpassed all-time greats like Imran Khan, Kapil Dev, and Jacques Kallis to achieve the incredible feat. The 36-year-old's most recent stint as the top-ranked all-rounder has seen him perform at his peak in all areas.

With the help of three tons and five fifties, Jadeja has amassed 1,175 runs from 23 Test matches at 36.71 since March 2022. He has taken 91 wickets with his left-arm spin at an incredible average of 22.34 (5W: 6, 10WM: 2).

Jadeja's closest rivals in the most recent ICC Test all-rounder rankings were Marco Jansen of South Africa and Mehedi Hasan Miraz of Bangladesh. Jansen dropped to third place with 294 rating points, while Miraz took second place with 327 rating points. The final two all-rounders in the top five were Shakib Al Hasan of Bangladesh and Pat Cummins of Australia. Interestingly, Jadeja is the only Indian all-rounder in the top ten.

The next Test assignment for Jadeja is a five-game series in England which begins from June 20.
