One of the most famous cricketers from South Africa, Jonty Rhodes has sparked a big debate recently after he tweeted about Delhi's air quality getting worse. On Sunday, the Air Quality Index (AQI) in the national capital went down to the 'severe' category, and several areas recorded levels above 400. The situation that could hardly be more alarming made people concerned and in response to it many residents turned to social media to share pictures and videos that showed how fast their air purifier filters were getting blocked with dust and pollutants.
Rhodes who is often in India for various reasons tweeted two different pictures showing a comparison of the pollution levels in Delhi and Goa. In addition to the photos, he questioned the deteriorating air conditions and asked people to think of the means to fight against the problem in the winter season.

"Passing through Delhi en route to Ranchi this evening, and as always, it's hard to digest the low levels of air quality here. Am grateful to be living in a small fishing village in South Goa ##AQI #whats2Bdone," Jonty wrote on X, sharing a post as he passed through Delhi on his way to Ranchi.

In another tweet, Rhodes shared a picture of Goa where his kids can be seen playing football on a beach explaining how the air quality their is fine whereas in Delhi, the doctors suggest to refrain from outdoor activities.
