The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season is likely to continue from Thursday or Friday (May 15 or 16), reports the Times of India (TOI). The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is currently working on to finalize the remaining fixtures and it is been reported that the games will take place all over India expect Dharamsala.

The report comes after India and Pakistan agreed to ceasefire after some tense days.

The Indian cricket board had temporarily suspended the lucrative league due to escalating cross-border tensions, but with the situation now returning to normal, operations are set to resume. Overseas players from each franchise had begun heading back to their home countries amid the uncertainty but will soon be instructed to rejoin their respective teams.

Reports suggest that many foreign players were anxious about potential disruptions at airports due to the geopolitical situation. With tensions easing, franchises will now begin making arrangements and await further instructions from the Indian cricket board.

"Yes the overseas players were panicking but it was more because of the airport shutdown and all. They patiently listened to the franchises and had full confidence but it was the fear of international airports getting shut which triggered a lot of panic," told a source to Times of India (TOI) tracking developments.

"With the new development of a ceasefire, the BCCI, IPL Governing Council, office bearers, and officials will meet tomorrow to discuss the situation. We will review the tournament schedule and determine the best possible way to complete it. All aspects, including venues, which were originally decided during the time of conflict will be reconsidered. A final decision will be taken shortly", said BCCI vice president Rajeev Shukla to PTI.
