India vs Sri Lanka: India and Sri Lanka will lock horns in the dead rubber Super Four match at the Dubai Cricket Stadium on Friday. India have already advanced to the Asia Cup 2025 final, while Sri Lanka are already eliminated, making the game inconsequential.
But there are a few fixes India would hope to make ahead of the blockbuster final against Pakistan, scheduled for Sunday at the Dubai International Stadium. Head coach Gautam Gambhir will be wary Sanju Samson's apparent middle-order misfit status, and the management may be tempted to try out Jitesh Sharma in the clash.
With Jasprit Bumrah part of the Test series against West Indies, the pacer can be rested keeping his workload in mind.

The team's fielding is currently the only issue, aside from Samson, who does not fit into the puzzle that is the Indian batting order. In the tournament thus far, India have dropped 10 catches, including 5 against Bangladesh en route to the final.
Sri Lanka, on the other hand, can use the opportunity to give game time to other players before heading back home.
