Amarnath Yatra 2025 Registration Begins Today: Check Link, Process, and More Details Here

The Amarnath Yatra is one of the most sacred pilgrimages in India, taking devotees to the holy Amarnath Cave in Jammu and Kashmir. Thousands of pilgrims from across the country take part in this spiritual journey every year. To join the Amarnath Yatra in 2025, it is mandatory to complete the registration process beforehand.

This year, registration has officially begun and is available both online and offline through authorised banks and the official website of the Shri AmarnathJi Shrine Board (SASB). The yatra is expected to start on 25 July 2025 and continue till 19 August 2025, while registration began on 14 April 2025.

Only a limited number of pilgrims—around 15,000 per day—are allowed to participate. Hence, early registration is highly recommended to avoid last-minute rush and to fulfil the required health and age criteria.

Key Dates for Amarnath Yatra 2025:

  • Amarnath Yatra Starts: 25 July 2025
  • Registration Begins: 14 April 2025
  • Amarnath Yatra Ends: 19 August 2025

  1. Visit the official Shri AmarnathJi Shrine Board (SASB) website and click on “Online Services” in the top menu.
  2. Select the “Yatra Permit Registration” option from the list.
  3. Read all the guidelines, dos, and don’ts. Once done, click “I Agree” and then choose “Register”.
  4. Fill in your personal details, such as name, yatra date, mobile number, Aadhaar number, etc. Upload a passport-size photo and a scanned copy of your Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC).
  5. Verify your mobile number using the OTP sent to your registered number.
  6. Within two hours, you’ll receive a payment link. Pay the registration fee (approximately ₹220, subject to change).
  7. After successful payment, you can download your Yatra Registration Permit from the portal.

By completing these steps, you will be ready to embark on the sacred Amarnath Yatra with an official permit in hand.

Offline Registration Process

For those preferring offline registration, the Jammu and Kashmir government has set up several centres, including Vaishnavi Dham, Panchayat Bhawan, and Mahajan Hall. Here’s how the process works:

  • Collect a token slip from one of the designated centres. These tokens are issued three days before the selected yatra date.
  • The next day, go to Saraswati Dham for your medical check-up and formal registration.
  • On the same day, visit the RFID card centre in Jammu to collect your card and finalise the process.

Whether you choose online or offline registration, make sure to complete all formalities well in advance and carry all required documents to avoid inconvenience during your journey.

The Amarnath Yatra is not just a trip—it’s a divine experience. Plan early, stay informed, and make your spiritual journey smooth and memorable.
