The sacred Amarnath Yatra, dedicated to Baba Barfani, is set to begin on July 3, 2025, and will continue until August 9, 2025. The Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) has announced that this year's pilgrimage will last for 39 days, allowing devotees ample time to undertake the spiritual journey to the holy Amarnath cave.

Preparations and Arrangements
The Jammu and Kashmir administration is making extensive arrangements to ensure the safety and comfort of devotees. Efforts are underway to improve accommodation, food (langar services), medical aid, and security. Special measures are being taken to manage the expected increase in the number of pilgrims.
The 48th board meeting of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) was chaired by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan on March 5, 2025. Discussions focused on enhancing facilities, managing logistics, and ensuring a smooth yatra experience for devotees.

Prominent attendees of the meeting included Swami Avadheshanand Giriji Maharaj, DC Raina, and board members Kailash Mehra Sadhu, KN Rai, Pitambar Lal Gupta, Dr. Shailesh Raina, and Professor Vishwamurti Shastri. Various proposals were discussed to enhance services and provide better support to the pilgrims.
