The Hamas was no match for this 25-year-old Israeli woman who saved an entire village by leading a group of residents to kill more than two dozen advancing terrorists. The village, located near Sderot, is a stone’s throw from the Gaza Strip, which is controlled by the Palestinian rebels.
Inbar Lieberman, the security coordinator of Kibbutz Nir Am since December 2022, heard explosions early on October 7. She realised that the sounds were different than those heard during the usual rocket attacks on the village.
But, instead of being paralysed in fear, she rushed to distribute guns from the village armoury among residents. According to the New York Post, Lieberman set up ambush points and with a 12-member security team repealed the Hamas fighters. They caught the gunmen off-guard and she herself reportedly slaughtered five militants.
A fierce gun battle lasted for about three hours until Israeli security forces arrived at the scene.
Israel's X account lauded Lieberman for her efforts, saying that "the entire kibbutz was saved" because of her.

Ilit Paz, cultural co-ordinator at Nir Am, told the news outlets, “It was amazing. My husband was part of the standby unit that worked to prevent more casualties. “They heard the shots and made contact on their own with other members of the standby unit and with Inbal — and they understood that they were told to be on standby. But Inbal made a decision not to wait and be jumped operationally. The fact that they did it early prevented dozens of casualties.”

The war between Israel and Hamas raged on for the fifth day on October 11. Israel has stopped entry of food, fuel and medicines into Gaza in response to Hamas incursion. The war, which has claimed at least 2,100 lives on both sides, is feared to escalate further.
According to Al Jazeera, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), said it has less than two weeks of food and water supply to assist more than 180,000 people who have sought refuge in their schools in Gaza.
“We’ve got supplies for 12 days for food and water. Roads are blocked, we don’t have telephone lines, we have had networks hit by air strikes. It is really difficult for us to know what’s happening,” Jennifer Austin, deputy director of the UN agency for Palestine Refugees in Gaza, said.
