True to its name, the Spilt series is created out of reclaimed Incense Cedar tree left behind after wildfires in the Angeles National Forest, California. Featured here is a lamp that’s part of the range by product designer Paul Foeckler, which gives the illusion of slices of wood levitating. The centre of the log is scooped out to accommodate an LED lighting fixture. Its base is carved out to accommodate an LED driver, lens and solid aluminum heat sink, which protrudes as an architectural feature from the rear.
