Kansai Nerolac has come out with its Colour Trends 2015 in collaboration with eminent colour experts on board. The trends for this year are based on the ever evolving lifestyle of the Indian consumer. Their company’s research revealed that homeowners are looking towards elements and colours which positively influence their lives. Therefore, Nerolac’s Colour Trends revolve around four emerging directions — natural, spatial, identity and social — all inspired by one larger idea of evolving lifestyle. Each theme is a reference to newer needs and perspectives of customers, hence, Nerolac arrived at five trends for the year — Progressive Identity, Blurring Boundaries, Lush, Raw, and Shared Spaces. The Progressive Identity trend portrays a striking blend of shades and colours that expresses individualism with an ethnic touch. It celebrates the uniqueness of individuals with colours like reds, cobalt blue and white and earthy deep tones. Raw focuses on materials that find inspiration in the primitive form signifying the earthy and rough yet a sophisticated collection of textures and shades. Lush represents refreshment, revitalization, earth and life and includes woodsy with lush greens. Blurring Boundaries presents the best of both worlds with the right mix of pastels with whites, graded cool and warm tones and deep colour ombre. Lastly, the theme of shared spaces includes a unique blend of black-and-white and pop, with bold graphic outs and dark grounds with colour accents. www.nerolac.com
